Samsung 990 Pro vs WD Black SN850X
Both drives sit at the top of the PCIe 4.0 class with no noticeable difference in daily use. The 990 Pro holds a slim edge in sustained writes; the SN850X usually wins on price.
Fazit
Call it a tie on performance - both are top-tier PCIe 4.0 drives that feel identical in daily use. Pick the Samsung 990 Pro for sustained-write workloads, and the WD Black SN850X whenever it is the better price.
